David Millar of Team Garmin-Slipstream won the final meaningful stage at today's Vuelta a Espana. This was the third win for Garmin-Slipstream, a team that had be getting used to finishing second in the Gran Tour stages. Tom Danielson, before getting ill and withdrawing from the race, has also been riding very well for Garmin.Alejandro Valverde will ride into Madrid tomorrow as winner of this years Vuelta. Second place will go to Samuel Sanchez of Euskaltel-Euskadi and Australian Cadel Evans jumped past Ivan Basso to claim a spot on the podium in third place.
The green sprinters jersey was won by Andre Greipel of Team Columbia-HTC and Team Cofidis' David Moncoutie has won the King of the Mountains.
